science week

On Monday the teachers put up a new science quiz. The prizes were two space torches and two telescopes. There will be a raffle for all of the children to win.

On Thursday a student from Trinity came in to do science with us, we did some cool experiments.

 We made marshmallows shrink and expand with a syringe.

 We worked in pairs focusing on air pressure.

In our second experiment we looked at creating a vacuum and sucking water into it using a flame.

 

 When the candle went out the water rose up into the glass

It was fun watching it rise.
