Road Safety

This week in Scoil Cholmcille SNS we were visited by RSA Ireland. First Aiden sat us down and told us about our seat belts and how to wear them. He told us about what height we had to be to sit in the front and back of the car. The height to sit in the front is 150cm. Then he told us some facts about road safety and some of the laws on the roads. When he was finished talking, his colleague Laura brought us over to a fake village in our school hall, with houses, cycle paths, zebra crossing and traffic lights. Laura split us in two groups, one group went to the village and the other group went to get their picture taken for their safety licence. Meanwhile the other group were putting on their hi-vis jackets and getting ready to go to the village. My group was very good but the other group were not so good on the village. But anyway we all got our safety licences. They had our pictures of us on them. Then we went out to yard.
